5 Days Taste of Kenya Joining Safari starts with the renowned Masai Mara National Reserve famous for the annual wildebeest migration, the “Big Five” (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo), and high predator concentrations. Continue to Lake Nakuru National Park famous for Flamingos and over 400 species of birdlife also serving as a Rhino Sanctuary and home to few remaining Rhinos in Kenya. Enjoy a boat ride at Lake Naivasha before taking a guided walk safari at the Crescent Island Sanctuary where you will come in close contact with animals in their natural habitat. Take another walk safari or ride a bike through Hell’s Gate National Park before returning back to Nairobi.

Early morning drive to Masai Mara National Reserve arriving in the afternoon on time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. Masai Mara is popularly known for its breathtaking landscapes and plenty of wildlife making it one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations with high concentration of wildlife. The park’s open grasslands provide an ideal hunting grounds for the apex predators such as lions, leopards and cheetahs.

Full day of game viewing within the reserve with packed lunch in search of The Big Five animals (Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Rhinos and Buffalo) with an option of taking a Hot Air Balloon. What amazes tourists in this reserve is the annual migration of wildebeests. The animals shift on July and return on November and is among the seventh wonder of the world. The park has the largest concentration of African lions, including the black-maned lion. Bird life is in plenty as wildlife at the Mara, which boasts over 400 different bird species.

Wake up at first light, grab a cup of coffee and leave the lodge to the nearby Masai Village where you have the opportunity to learn and interact with the local Maasai Community. Maasais are popular and better-known ethnic people in East Africa due to their traditional origins from areas surrounding Masai Mara Game Reserve.
Return to the lodge for breakfast and later on embark on your journey to Nakuru arriving later in the afternoon for lunch. Evening at leisure with an option to explore Nakuru City. Nakuru is Kenya’s fourth-largest city and a major agricultural and commercial hub located in the Rift Valley.

Early Breakfast, check out and drive to the nearby Lake Nakuru National Park a standpoint and harbor for watching over 400 bird species. The main highlight being the flamingos forming a stunningly beautiful deep pink band around the edge of the lake shore. The park is also a rhino sanctuary harboring a population of more than 100 black and white rhinos and also offers great sightseeing of larger predators like the lions and leopards.
Exit Lake Nakuru National Park at around 1200hrs and drive to Naivasha arriving on time for lunch followed by an afternoon boat safari and guided walk at Lake Naivasha Sanctuary Farm. Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake and a birder’s paradise as it is home to over 400 bird species and over 1,500 hippos in the area.

Checkout immediately after breakfast and drive to Hell’s Gate National Park ideal for walking alongside wild animals as there are no predators. You can decide to walk or enjoy a game drive through the park to the Hell’s Gate Gorge. Wild animals to see include; Zebra, eland, giraffe, buffalo, serval cat, hartebeest, Thomson’s gazelle, klipspringer, leopard and so much more. With an incredible record of over 103 bird species, the destination is ideal for bird lovers. Exit the park before noon driving further back to Nairobi with a stopover for hot lunch in Naivasha arriving later in the afternoon followed by a transfer to the Airport or your Nairobi Hotel.
