Day 1Nairobi – Lake Naivasha Boat Ride & Sanctuary Walk

Your safari starts with pick up from your Nairobi hotel or airport and drive to Lake Naivasha arriving on time for Lunch followed by an afternoon boat safari and guided walk at Lake Naivasha Sanctuary Farm. Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake and a birder’s paradise as it is home to over 400 bird species and over 1,500 hippos in the area.

Day 2Lake Naivasha – Lake Nakuru National Park

Proceed your journey further to Lake Nakuru National Park arriving in time for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru National Park is a standpoint and harbor for watching more than 400 species of birds in rift valley with the main highlight being the flamingos forming a stunningly beautiful deep pink band around the edge of the lake shore. The park is also a rhino sanctuary harbouring a population of more than 100 black and white rhinos and also offers great sightseeing of larger predators like the lions and leopards.

Day 4Full Day in Masai Mara National Reserve

Full day of game viewing within the reserve with packed lunch in search of The Big Five animals (Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Rhinos and Buffalo) with an option of taking a Hot Air Balloon. What amazes tourists in this reserve is the annual migration of wildebeests. The animals shift on July and return on November and is among the seventh wonder of the world. The park has the largest concentration of African lions, including the black-maned lion. Bird life is in plenty as wildlife at the Mara, which boasts over 400 different bird species.

Day 6Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Embark on a full day game drive with packed lunch in Serengeti National Park known for its vast open grasslands that provide excellent opportunities for wildlife sightings. This 15,000 sq km park is inhabited by more than 2 million large animals including more than a million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of plains zebras, and Thomson’s gazelles. Large predators including lions, cheetahs, and hyenas are drawn to the area by this abundance of prey which migrate throughout the park. Many smaller animals like rock hyrax, bat eared foxes, mongoose, honey badger, jackals, monkeys, baboons and African hares also inhabit the area along with nearly 500 species of birds.

Day 7Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast exit Serengeti National Park to the bordering Ngorongoro Conservation Area descending down to the bottom of the crater, dotted with watering holes, shelters almost 30,000 animals in an area naturally enclosed by the volcano’s slopes. You will find the Big Five: lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard. The Crater has the largest unbroken caldera in the world, surrounded by very steep walls that rise 2,000 ft from the floor. It is considered one of the natural world’s wonders and a veritable wildlife haven. Spectacular animal life can be observed throughout the year, thanks to the permanent availability of grass and water.

Rise up early for breakfast and embark on a full day game drive with parked lunch as you enjoy good views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build up over the summit. Despite its changing habitat, Amboseli National Park is possibly the best wildlife area in the whole of Africa to experience elephant at close range. Your game drive will take you to the observation hill to have a better overall view of the park including the adjacent marshy swamps. Wildlife is abundant in this park together with pelicans and other bird species. Your game viewing will be spread to cover the open plains, acacia woodland, rocky thorn bush country, swamps and marshland.

After breakfast you decide to extend your safari to coast (Mombasa, Diani or Malindi) by train with a drop off at Emali Train Station or drive back to Nairobi arriving later in the afternoon followed by a transfer to Airport or your Nairobi Hotel. Depending on what time you will arrive in Nairobi and if time permits, our driver guide will arrange a Bonus Nairobi city tour and shopping for those who could like to carry home some souvenirs.
