Serengeti National Park is a World Heritage Site found in northern Tanzania popularly known for its annual migration. This 15,000 sq km park is inhabited by more than 2 million animals including wildebeests, plains zebras, and Thomson’s gazelles. Large predators including lions and cheetahs are drawn to the area by this abundance of prey which migrate throughout the park. Found also in the park are smaller animals like rock hyrax, bat eared foxes and over 500 species of birds.
