Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve

 

Your safari starts with pickup from meetup point in Nairobi’s Central Business District at 0800hrs and drive to Masai Mara National Reserve with a brief stop at Great Rift Valley view point. Masai Mara National Reserve is situated on the south west of Kenya and its popular for its breathtaking landscapes and plenty of wildlife making it one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations. You will arrive at your lodge in time for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive as you traverse the vast savannahs and grasslands in search of wildlife.

Day 2: Full Day in Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast embark on a full day of game viewing within the reserve with packed lunch. The reserve is the best park for game in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing and photography. Masai Mara National Reserve is famous for The Big Five animals (Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Rhinos and Buffalo). What amazes travelers in this reserve is the annual migration of wildebeests. The animals shift on July and return on November and is among the seventh wonder of the world. The park has the largest concentration of African lions, including the black-maned lion. Bird life is in plenty as wildlife at the Mara, which boasts over 400 different bird species.

Day 3: Masai Mara – Nairobi

Wake up at first light, grab a cup of coffee and leave the lodge to the nearby Masai Village where you have the opportunity to learn and interact with the local Maasai Community. Maasais are popular and better-known ethnic people in East Africa due to their traditional origins from areas surrounding Masai Mara Game Reserve and Amboseli National Park near the Tanzania border. The Maasai people have plenty of unique characteristics about their culture and some of these have been listed below, including their dress, diet and way of life. Return to the lodge for breakfast and later on embark on your journey to Nairobi with a stopover for lunch before proceeding to Nairobi arriving later in the afternoon with a transfer to your hotel or Airport.
