Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Arrival

 

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to your hotel with dinner meal provided. Depending on your arrival time you can request for a Nairobi City Tour with lunch at an extra cost. There are plenty of activities and sight seeing in Nairobi including Nairobi National Park, Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Elephant Orphanage, Giraffe Centre, Bomas of Kenya, Karen Blixen Museum, Nairobi National Museum and Snake Park.

Day 2: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park

Start your day early with breakfast and embark on your journey to Lake Nakuru National Park with brief stops at the equator line, Thomson Falls and the Great Rift Valley escarpment past Nyahururu town. You will arrive in Nakuru in time for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru National Park is a standpoint and harbor for watching more than 400 species of birds in rift valley. As you visit the lake, game animals are in large numbers. Hippos, buffalos and many species of birds with Flamingos prominently notable. Nakuru National Park is home to few remaining Rhinos in Kenya and also offers great sightseeing of larger predators like the lions and Leopards.

Day 3: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast to Masai Mara National Reserve situated in south west of Kenya and popularly for its breathtaking landscapes and plenty of wildlife making it one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive as you traverse the vast savannahs and grasslands in search of wildlife. Masai Mara is renowned for its high concentration of predators such as lion, leopard and cheetah and the open grasslands provide an ideal hunting grounds for the apex predators.

Day 4: Full Day in Masai Mara National Reserve

Embark on a full day of game viewing within the reserve with packed lunch. The reserve is the best park for game in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing and photography. Masai Mara National Reserve is famous for The Big Five animals (Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Rhinos and Buffalo). What amazes travelers in this reserve is the annual migration of wildebeests. The animals shift on July and return on November and is among the seventh wonder of the world. The park has the largest concentration of African lions, including the black-maned lion. Bird life is in plenty as wildlife at the Mara, which boasts over 400 different bird species.

Day 5: Masai Mara – Serengeti National Park

Rise up early for breakfast and depart for Serengeti National Park. Today’s drive will involve border closing and change of driver guides after completing immigration and border formalities. With your Tanzania safari guide drive to the main Serengeti National Park gate and embark on an afternoon game drive as you drive towards your camp or lodge. You will arrive just in time for check-in, dinner, and overnight stay. It will be a long day of driving but the game drives going in and out of the parks can be surprisingly incredible.

Day 6: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

This day is scheduled for a full day game drive with packed in Serengeti National Park which is famous for the big cats and endless plains. The park is inhabited by more than 2 million large animals including over 1 million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of plains zebras, and Thomson’s gazelles. Large predators including lions, cheetahs, and hyenas are also attracted by plenty of prey which migrate throughout the park. Get to experience the Great Wildebeest Migration during the moth of June to September as huge groups of wildebeests and zebras move to the neighboring Kenya’s Masai Mara Reserve in search of green pastures.

Day 7: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Start your day with an early morning breakfast then check out with a game drive as you drive towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area a world heritage UNESCO site. The sunrise game drive in the African Savannah is one of the most beautiful experiences one can have as you get to spot the animals when they are more active and also to have a fantastic sun rise in front of you. In the afternoon, transfer to Ngorongoro, the 8th natural wonder of the world. With walls 2,000 ft high and a crater floor that spreads for 102 sq. miles, the crater is a virtual Noahs Ark, inhabited by almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa including the rare black rhino.

Day 8: Ngorongoro – Lake Manyara National Park

Very early in the morning, descend down to the crater floor for a day of wildlife viewing in one of Africa’s seven natural wonders. The crater was formed two million years ago when a vast volcano erupted. The fertile lava has created a unique ecosystem, now home to the highest concentration of animals found anywhere in Africa! In fact, the crater has the greatest concentration of wild life in the planet.

It contains a river, several swamps, a soda lake that, from the top, looks like steam, full of flamingos, a forest and open plains. The large bull elephants that reside here have extremely large tusk, due to the rich mineral content of the volcanic soil and its grasses. You will enjoy your picnic lunch near the hippo lake after which you will ascent up the steep road out of the crater and transfer to Lake Manyara for overnight stay.

Day 9: Lake Manyara – Tarangire National Park

Rise up for breakfast, checkout and then drive across the Great Rift Valley until Lake Manyara National Park for a full day game drive. Lake Manyara National Park lies between Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater, right along the 400 meters deep Great Rift Valley. Although small in dimension (205 sq. miles), the park has breathtaking scenery and well famous for its lush acacia forest, giant figs and mahogany trees, as well as to a growing population of baboons and blue monkeys.

The lush green vegetation consisting of tall trees of the ground water forest, the tree climbing lions, the soda lake inhabited with thousands of pink-hued flamingos, large water birds and the troops of baboons and blue monkeys and the rift valley escarpment make your safari to this area unforgettable. Enjoy picnic lunch there after in the afternoon transfer to Tarangire National Park for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Tarangire – Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, embark on a morning game drive in Tarangire National Park with picnic lunch. The Park is well known for its big groups of elephants and huge amount of giant baobab trees which can live for hundred years and are actually a source of water for elephants in the dry season. The name of the park originates from the Tarangire River that crosses the park and covers an area of 2850 km 2. The park is impressively splendid for its famous concentration of wild animals especially the elephants and it is also one of the finest birding destinations in East Africa. Enjoy your picnic lunch there after a transfer to Amboseli National Park arriving later in the evening in time for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 11: Full Day in Amboseli National Park

Rise up early for breakfast and embark on a full day game drive with parked lunch as you enjoy good views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build up over the summit. Despite its changing habitat, Amboseli National Park is possibly the best wildlife area in the whole of Africa to experience elephant at close range. Our game drives will take you to the observation hill to have a better overall view of the park including the adjacent marshy swamps. Wildlife is abundant in this park together with pelicans and other bird species. Your game viewing will be spread to cover the open plains, acacia woodland, rocky thorn bush country, swamps and marshland.

After breakfast depart for Nairobi arriving later in the afternoon for lunch and relaxation. Depending on what time you will arrive in Nairobi and if time permits, our driver guide will arrange a Bonus Nairobi city tour and shopping for those who could like to carry home some souvenirs.
